Airwave implement Samsung SMART hospitality TVs, Samsung REACH IP and Airtime VOD into the Hilton Cambridge's 198 rooms.
The Hotel
Moments away from the world famous University of Cambridge colleges, the Hilton Cambridge is the largest hotel in one of England's most iconic cities.
The hotel building is linked to Cambridge's Grand Arcade and within spitting distance of a number of attractions - including King's College Chapel and the Fitzwilliam Museum.
Naturally, guests returning from a busy day's exploration of a city rich in history, appreciate the chance to relax, wind-down and watch some television - Airwave were happy to lend a helping hand...
The Installation
A DVB-S headend was installed, in conjunction with various satellite and network infrastructure upgrades - supporting, amongst other things, the provision of international channels.
201 x 55-inch Samsung EJ690 SMART hospitality TVs were commissioned within the hotel's 198 guest-rooms, all featuring a Samsung REACH 4.0 IP information system, with a bespoke designed 10-page interactive information system - featuring hotel and local area information.
An Airtime VOD movie app was deployed within Samsung's REACH interface, offering guests early-release, multi-language movie content on a pay-as-you-watch basis.
It was a real pleasure to work with Hilton Cambridge on this project, I'm sure guests will be delighted with a 55-inch TV and a top draw movie app in the guest-room.
