SCCI Alphatrack deliver 4 Fibre technology to four, multi storey buildings in the heart of Shepherd Bush
The Development
The Charecroft Estate in Shepherds Bush is a Hammersmith and Fulham owned development. Four, 20 storey buildings in the heart of Shepherd’s Bush, each with over 100 apartments and a community centre. A major fire in one of the blocks in 2016 made this a very sensitive site.
The Proposal
Having worked with us on a number of difficult buildings the consultant for Hammersmith and Fulham recommended 4 Fibre. The brief was simple, deploy a network that did not affect the safety, aesthetics or fabric of these buildings. Installing a single fibre infrastructure meant the block only needed to be wired once.
We liaised with the H&F consultant and building safety team, a design was completed, wayleave agreed and works started in September, with two buildings completed in October.
A complex and sensitive deployment using 4 Fibre, the safety, space, and integrity of the building would be maintained while minimising disruption.
The Delivery
We deployed fibre service via 3 DPs per building, all linked back to just a single meet me point, from where up to 4 ISP’s can service the building without running another cable.
All core drilling, containment and fire stopping was managed and completed by SCCIA. On completion we fully spliced and tested the network and provide as built sign offs to the client & ISP’s.
Any ISP wishing to service this scheme, could realistically go live on the same day as they bring their feed to the building – the saving on engineering time and disruption is huge.
The Conclusion
Successfully deployed in around 5 weeks per building, offering the residents full fibre connectivity.
Our partnership with Hammersmith & Fulham meant these services were introduced to the scheme at no charge to the residents, managing agents or the freeholder.

The Charecroft Estate of four multi-storey tower blocks is a challenging scheme for any re-wiring project but deploying 4 Fibre means we only had to wire the building once.
