The Development
Nestled in this prime location, Park West is set just a stone’s throw away from the picturesque Hyde Park. This is a secure and well-run purpose built private nine story apartment complex of containing 530 apartments. With its impressive façade dominating the Edgware Road, this imposing red brick mansion block is situated in the very heart of Westminster.
The Proposal
Having completed a number of Freshwater buildings working with the freeholder’s consultant ARC Partners, we were trusted to provide a network on their largest single scheme.
The brief was simple, to deploy a network that didn't affect the aesthetics or fabric of this beautiful property whilst deploying a single fibre infrastructure, meaning the block only needs to be wired once.
We liaised with the freeholder consultant and local resident committee to ensure everyone was happy with the intended deployment.
Using this solution better protects the aesthetics, safety, space and integrity of the building whilst minimising disruption, by virtue of being installed just once, rather than have multiple operators wiring the building one after the other, as is the traditional alternative.
The Delivery
With over 530 premises to be deployed over a single XGS PON network from a single meet me point, this project was clearly not for the faint hearted. We deployed fibre service via 15 DPs around the scheme, all linked back to a single meet me point, from where up to 4 ISP’s can service the building without running another cable.
The Conclusion
Successfully deployed in around 12 weeks, offering the residents full fibre connectivity.
Our partnership with ARC and Freshwater meant these services were introduced to the scheme at no charge to the residents, managing agents or the freeholder.
Our solution was delivered with very little disruption to the residents, future proofing the building and adding desirability and value to the homes within.
SCCI and 4 Fibre have once again delivered an installation of outstanding quality. They delivered a bespoke and agreeable design and delivered a solution that will mean we do not need to wire this building again for fibre.
