Peabody has joined forces with SCCI Alphatrack and 4Fibre to bring future-ready, full-fibre broadband to residents living in high-rise and complex buildings. The partnership will help improve digital access, reduce disruption, and support long-term building safety.
Working together under a new framework agreement, not-for-profit housing association Peabody and SCCI Alphatrack’s 4Fibre will deliver a single, shared fibre network to a number of residents’ homes, making it quicker and easier to get connected.
With more than 108,000 homes across London and the Home Counties, Peabody is taking a proactive approach to prepare homes for the future. New safety rules, increased demand for data, and the upcoming 2027 landline (PSTN) switch-off are all driving the need for better, safer, and more reliable internet connections.
Instead of installing multiple networks from different providers, SCCI Alphatrack’s 4Fibre builds one open-access network that any broadband supplier can use. This helps minimise disruption for residents, protects the structure and safety features of buildings, and reduces environmental impact.
