The Hotel
The Sleeperz brand offers stylish lifestyle hotels in city centre locations, focussing on bold, contemporary interiors and high-end fixtures & fittings - and great value, friendly hospitality.
The award-winning chain features hotels in Newcastle, Edinburgh, Dundee and the newly extended Cardiff.
As with all Sleeperz hotels, the hotel is located within close proximity to the city's railway station, on this occasion, a one minute walk to Cardiff Central, right in the heart of the city.
The Project
Having previously worked with Sleeperz in the Dundee location, Airwave was delighted to once again, design and implement a guest-room entertainment system into Sleeperz Cardiff.
Located slap, bang in the middle of Wales' capital city, there's naturally lots of things for guests to do. With this in mind, the implementation of a user-friendly interactive information system was a priority. David Taylor, Key Account Manager, Airwave
With this firmly in mind, Airwave implemented an Otrum CTRL information system with a number of interactive pages, including: radio, hotel services, menu & wine list (with a QR code for browsing on a portable device), things to do, Google Chromecast and VOD movie streaming APP, Airtime.
(Hospitality certified) Chromecast allows guests to cast content from a portable device to the in-room TV, opening up a smorgasbord of movie & programming content, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and BBC iPlayer.
For those that aren't technically savvy, or simply fancy an early-release blockbuster movie, Airtime offers guests the classic video on demand hotel room movie experience.
There'll not be much sleeping at Sleeperz with a guest-room entertainment of this calibre...
