The Hotel
Set within ten acres of private headland overlooking St Ouen’s Bay and its series of spectacular sunsets, the 50-room, 4 AA Red Star Atlantic Hotel is one of Jersey’s most distinguished retreats. Privately owned and family-run since its opening in 1970, it’s one of a small handful of hotels in the British Isles to hold membership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
Classically late-modernist in style, clean lines, whitewashed walls, and glass balustrades hold hands with an array of luxury amenities.
The hotel’s 4 AA Rosette, Ocean Restaurant, is led by Executive Chef Will Holland, where a commitment to precision and provenance is matched by a celebration of the island’s finest seasonal ingredients.
A heated outdoor pool, indoor spa & pool, gym, and the neighbouring championship golf course complete the picture.
But, The Atlantic Hotel isn’t a bells-and-whistles kind of place. It’s about slowing down. Watching weather roll in off the bay. Ordering another glass. Enjoying world-class service. Contemplating. And enjoying uninterrupted in all its glory.
The Technology
In 2014, Airwave implemented Jersey’s first Sky-In-Room service at The Atlantic Hotel. Eleven years later, we were delighted to be invited back to deliver another first—this time with the installation of Sky Select, Sky’s latest hospitality TV platform.
Unlike Sky In-Room, which requires a dedicated Sky box in each guest room, Sky Select delivers a curated line-up of premium Sky channels—live sport, entertainment and news—through a centralised headend system. No in-room hardware. No additional remotes, just seamless live content delivered straight to the TV.
For guests, this means instant access to high-quality, high-definition Sky programming with zero complexity. For the hotel, it means fewer infrastructure headaches and easier system management.

To further enhance the guest experience, The Atlantic Hotel chose Uniguest’s Guest Room Entertainment (GRE) Hub. Delivered via Samsung UHD hospitality displays, the Hub provides a fully branded digital interface—offering a personalised welcome screen, hotel information, live TV listings, a dynamic weather forecast, and access to services.
Importantly, and in line with the hotel’s sustainability ethos, the Hub removes the need for printed in-room collateral and allows real-time content updates across all rooms—streamlining communication and reducing environmental impact.
The entire system is supported by a fully reengineered TV distribution network, designed and installed by Airwave.
From the content delivery architecture to the hardware and user interface, each element works together to deliver a future-proof, content-rich experience—simple for guests, effortless for staff, and fully aligned with the hotel’s luxury positioning.
